Your Perfect Pocket Monster Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution According to Your Astrological Sign
The return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense enthusiasm within the fandom. From the gradual unveiling of fresh additions before the game's launch, to players developing firm opinions on the full roster of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.
With many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing distinctive designs that highlight their traits, one idea came to mind: How can connect this with astrology? This list is inspired by a mix of intuition, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.
Aries – Mega Camerupt
Honestly, Houndoom was nearly chosen for this fire sign, as they are the Super Form and astrological sign that inspire the greatest apprehension. However, a Super Houndoom comes across as constantly angry, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being playful, light-hearted, and impulsive. This makes the Ram far more similar to Mega Camerupt, which solely erupts when provoked. Stay on the friendly side of either and enjoy a powerful partner; if you cross them, be ready to get burned.
The Bull – Mega Heracross
Much like a loyal Bull, the steadfast Heracross species, whether in its standard and Mega form, has aided many trainers in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, both the creature and a Taurus are also battle-oriented, and – whether it's their companion or a firm belief – will stand up for their position to the end. What about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unashamed love of snacks. Many previous Pokédex entries mention their craving for tasty tree sap and how it uses its appendage to hoard it everything, which is true Taurus energy.
Gemini – Mega Medicham
Look at this absolute queen. You cannot tell me this creature is not the soul of any gathering, providing an endless fountain of chatter to anyone who wants to hear. Much like an enrapturing, sociable Gemini, it's incredibly simple to envision Super Medicham captivating an whole open area with their stories. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also mentions its capacity to predict an opponent's next moves, which sounds quite similar to a socially-savvy Gemini.
Cancer – Super Manectric
Cancer is widely considered as the most emotional member of the astrological wheel, a intense symbol famous for often becoming absorbed in their emotions. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “huge quantity of energy, but it's too much for Manectric to fully control,” which sounds a lot like a typical Cancer emotional outburst. It is also recognized for its ability to make a storm cloud over its very head – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is likely to do, it’s rain on their own parade.
Leo – Super Starmie
Well, did you assume I was planning to select the lion Pokémon for the king of the stars? Besides the reality that it would be far too obvious, The Lion is obviously Mega Starmie, the diva whose legs just went viral for being extremely glamorous (or terrifying, depending on your taste). Fans couldn’t look away from the purple starfish, and that’s precisely the same energy a Lion offers to the scene. Starmie is also said to be broadcasting signals from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Lion to be putting on a performance, even if for aliens.
Virgo – Mega Victreebel
The always-ready and constantly-worried Virgo is ideally represented in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant acid reflux. The zodiac symbol famous for being charmingly judgmental is strongly reflected throughout this Pokémon’s whole evolutionary chain, from a always surprised face like a Virgo when you inform them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s similar to the symbol a Virgo sends to the group chat when all says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than making a strategy.
Libra – Super Audino
Look at this sweet, empathetic being, who employs the sensors on its auditory organs to tell how people are feeling by their heartbeat. Consistently empathetic – sometimes to a fault – and striving to maintain the harmony, there are many Scales who would likely appreciate Super Audino's abilities. Though, to be frank, it would probably just cause them to stress more about others.
Scorpio – Super Banette
Banette is a creature with a unexpectedly sad origin: Abandoned as a toy, it became sentient through pure hatred and swore retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That sounds precisely like several discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpio friends. A Scorpio loves karma and comeuppance, making them the perfect match with Super Banette.
Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha
Each Mega Hawlucha and Archers are constantly putting on a show. As a Archer personally, the amount of occasions I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “silly little jester” is countless. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even mentions how it “flexes to display its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Archer match I can imagine.
The Goat – Mega Absol
Did you know that a Mega Absol has the ability to foresee calamities in advance? That gives the identical energy as a Goat, who often consistently think they’re correct. Interestingly, much like a visionary Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute first Super Form that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to get in on the beginning of the Super Form craze.
Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
Aloof element Water Bearer is arguably the non-fire placement that is closest to a fire sign – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are numerous memes about Sagittarius and Water Bearer being chaotic partners in crime. Super Chandelure's double Ghost/Fire category matches seamlessly with this, and the Super Form's overall intimidating aura is also extremely Aquarius. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Mega’s description says it “absorbs hatred and converts it into power.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
