Two Men Face Charges Regarding Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Attack
Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a suitcase robbery where a substance thought to be capsaicin spray caused injuries at the UK's busiest airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and two counts of administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.
This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two female travelers had their suitcases taken after getting out of a parking garage elevator, police said.
A young child was among those injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to a medical facility and were later discharged.
This event – described by police as was isolated and not being treated as terrorism – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
