The Opening Game Pass Titles of 2026 Show Xbox Is Still Fighting.
Everywhere you go, fans keep sounding the knell for the Xbox brand. Xbox was recently outsold by a platform few have heard of. Xbox fan sites have started writing about PlayStation for the first time. Last year proved to be an era of significant turmoil for the Xbox ecosystem. However, judging purely by what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it is apparent that Microsoft remains determined to engage players with compelling titles on its premier subscription.
The Current Inclusions
The two games that are immediately available at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass soon that's worth getting excited about.
Upcoming Headline Games
Starting January 13th, the subscription service will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that breaks up conventional open-world tropes with a cosmic robbery tale. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, which our 2021 review called "the perfect cocktail of frights and fights."
Intriguing Niche Additions
However, the more modest titles set to join the catalog are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that's a blast to play, becomes available next week — and it's worth experiencing even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.
The British post-apocalyptic game from last year might get its hooks in you remarkably quickly.
Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the makers of Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.
A Solid, Curated Lineup
In summary, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, nor are they first-party juggernauts that validate the subscription by themselves. Yet, this selection are rock solid. It offers a healthy blend of old games you might have missed and fairly new titles that lacked the recognition they deserved the first time around — rendering them perfect candidates to find a new audience on Game Pass.
Hope you're ready to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
