The former president's Family Member Receives Expert Tips from Golf Legend Woods Before Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star has impressive online presence
Kai Trump will have plenty of prominent supporters as she makes her LPGA debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, received a tournament invitation to compete at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
The former president, a passionate golfer, operates several golf courses and often matches against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we play tight competitions," she revealed.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who cannot attend, told her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He practically advised me to go out there and enjoy myself," she continued.
"To me, he's simply a regular grandfather. He's not attending this weekend. He's busy with world affairs, making him quite busy."
As an amateur, Kai has competed in only three events this year and maintains the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
Yet she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, in a relationship with her mother.
"He is the best player globally," the young golfer said.
"And he's an even better person. He told me to go out there, enjoy myself, adapting to whatever happens."
Kai will face multiple top competitors in women's golf at this tournament, such as second-ranked the champion, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that involving Kai helps introduce golf to new audiences, specifically among the next generation.
The young star maintains millions of followers and has started a personal apparel and wellness company.
The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
