A Palestinian-American teenager having endured a nine-month period in imprisonment by Israel absent formal charges has been freed.

The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim had just turned 15 during his detention in February within the occupied West Bank, during a family visit on holiday from Florida for allegedly throwing stones against settlement residents, allegations he repeatedly contested.

United States authorities expressed satisfaction with the news of Mohammed's release.

Mohammed, now 16, required hospitalization for treatment immediately after release, family members reported.

They said he is visibly pale and thin, while battling health issues acquired while detained.

Through an official statement, the youth's uncle expressed the family's "overwhelming sense of relief".

Family member Zeyad Kadur said the family had been "living a horrific and endless nightmare" throughout the past nine months.

"Right now, we're concentrating on ensuring Mohammed receives prompt healthcare necessary for his recovery after being subjected to harsh conditions and brutal treatment throughout his detention."

US officials announced ongoing to provide consular support to Mohammed's family.

{"The Trump Administration considers paramount than the safety and security of American nationals"," it added.

A group of American legislators submitted a formal letter to diplomatic officials and the administration, demanding more be done to secure his release.

Mr Ibrahim, parent of four children who runs an ice cream business based in Tampa, had earlier stated his son only confessed regarding stone throwing due to physical abuse.

He had not seen or spoken to Mohammed since the arrest, learning information solely regarding the treatment in detention through court documents.

He stayed without charge at Ofer detention facility throughout the occupied territory.

It is also home to grown detainees, featuring prisoners sentenced for major terrorist activities and homicide.

There are around 350 Palestinian child security detainees being held in Israeli jails, based on prison authority data.

Numerous remain uncharged along with monitoring agencies, and international organizations, say some have suffered abuse and torture.

After the teenager's freedom, family representatives announced relatives would persist in advocating demanding accountability for their family member family member Sayfollah.

This young American-Palestinian who the Palestinian health ministry said died from beating by radical settlers during a confrontation last July.

Initially, defense forces stated officials were investigating reports a Palestinian civilian had been killed.

Mohammed and Sayfollah collaborated within the family's frozen treats establishment based in Florida.

No charges have been filed for the cousin's murder.

"We anticipate the American government to protect our families," the uncle stated.
