Reports indicate that fan-favorite actors Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson will reprise their iconic roles in the latest chapter of the Hunger Games film series, titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. Production is currently underway.
A Significant Comeback for the Franchise
The duo are slated to play Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, respectively. It is believed their roles will take the form of a flash-forward sequence, as the original saga concluded with their characters living in peace.
This marks the sixth film in the blockbuster Hunger Games franchise.

Sunrise on the Reaping is adapted from a newly published work by author Suzanne Collins. It will be the second prequel film after 2023's The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. For this project is Francis Lawrence, who has helmed most of the previous films in the series.
