Colts Face Falcons in German Capital – Week 10 NFL Action

Hello, fussball fans. Wie gehts? Alles klar I trust on this excellent early start to the tenth week coming straight outta Deutschland. Berlin's Olympic Stadium to be exact where at 8.30am CST/9.30am EST and 2.30pm GMT the mighty Colts (seven wins and two losses) take on the Falcons (three wins and five losses). The fifth game played on German soil and the initial in the nation’s capital.

Pregame Highlights

When it comes to glittering attire that is an absolute belter from the Olympic figure skater on the opening flip. A slight fluff from Sky Sports there as we hear “who won the toss?” from the commentator with an accidentally live microphone.

So, the coin toss went to Indianapolis and have elected to receive. The Colts' offense will be setting up shortly. Can the quarterback recover after a difficult performance in Pittsburgh?

Not to be outdone the vocalist performing the US national anthem has some of the biggest shoulder embellishments you are ever likely to see. Loving the sartorial choices today. We are almost underway after a choral number for the German anthem. Classy.

Opening Period Gameplay

Colts 0-0 Falcons 13:30, 1st quarter

And we're off! And we have early drama after the Colts running back receives a short throw, gains 15 yards on the outside to the right then fumbles … only for his center to recover the fumble with the ball retrieval. Colts are in Falcons territory already.

Colts 0-0 Falcons 10:51, 1st quarter

And the drama keeps coming as the Colts go for it on 4th down. The risk doesn't work out as the wide receiver cannot reel in a fastball from the quarterback. On the play before the turnover on downs Jessie Bates put a massive tackle on the Colts' tight end. The Falcons have come out fighting on defense as they try and snap their string of three losses. Following that, Sauce Gardner makes his first appearance!

Touchdown Recap

First score: Colts lead 6-0 at 8:36

Was that a missed touchdown by Kyle Pitts? The Falcons player makes a crucial error, he was wide open but the ball just slips through his grasp. That moment reflects the first round pick’s career to date.

A disappointing start but it only deteriorates for the Atlanta as they turn over possession to the Colts on the 23-yard mark. The Falcons quarterback is hunted down and fumbles the football.

A nifty 22-yard run from Ashton Dulin sets Jonathan Taylor up to easily run for a touchdown on the next snap. The placekicker misses the point after attempt. Oops.

Falcons respond: 6-7 at 6:07

The quarterback recovers from the turnover by marching his Falcons down the field for a touchdown. The wide receiver makes some chunky receptions to put them in the scoring area then the seas part for Tyler Allgeier to run untouched into the end zone through the heart of the field for 13 yards. The running back finishes it off for a one-yard touchdown of his own. Advantage Atlanta.

Additional Week 10 Games

And for afters, the full slate starting at 12pm CST/1pm EST/6pm GMT (with home teams first) is as follows:

  • (5-4) Panthers v New Orleans Saints (1-8)

  • (5-3) Bears v Giants (2-7)

  • (3-5) Texans v Jacksonville Jaguars (5-3)

  • (2-7) Miami Dolphins v Bills (6-2)

  • (4-4) Vikings v Baltimore Ravens (3-5)

  • (1-7) New York Jets v Browns (2-6)

  • (6-2) Tampa Bay Buccaneers v New England Patriots (7-2)

An exciting lineup. My pick for the best game is Minnesota and Baltimore playing out the top contest of the day.
