Barcelona Ready for Historic Match at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

Barça revealed they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish league two and a half years after they moved out so building work could begin.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed finished work included an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.

Preparatory Events

Barça organized an open training session inside the stadium on 7 November. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
